A Message From Our Rabbi
May I introduce myself to you. I am Rabbi Hillel E. Silverman and it is my pleasure to serve our wonderful congregation, Bnai Shalom. I have been the Rabbi in three major congregations, Dallas, Los Angeles, Greenwich Connecticut. I graduated from Yale University and was ordained and received my PHD at The Jewish Theological Seminary. I served as a Navy Chaplain during the Korean War, have written 12 books and have been active in many national organizations. An affiliate of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism Bnai Shalom is a small friendly and intimate congregation. Our members are very welcoming, warm and congenial. We offer Sabbath morning and monthly Friday Night services. We schedule social and cultural events and provide our children with a fine religious school emphasizing prayer, holidays, ethics and Israel. We offer High Holiday services, Passover Seders, Purim and Hanukah Parties, monthly Havarahs , and a variety of other social events for our congregants. I look forward to meeting you personally.
